Air Astana introduces premium economy class

In order to stimulate demand for premium products, Air Astana is introducing a new premium economy class service on all flights operated by the new generation Embraer 190-E2 short-haul aircraft.

According to the Kazakhstan national carrier, a new class service on the E190-E2 is replacing the business class, thus passengers will receive the same level service, but at a price lower by 35%. As explained by the airline, the new product is really no different from the previous “business” apart from the price: seats, seat steps remain the same, nutrition and travel kits are from the business class; increased baggage allowance up to 2 pieces of 32 kg; access to business class lounges; priority check-in, landing, getting double bonus points.

The premium economy class will be launched on November 23 at the first stage and will be available only on domestic flights from Nur-Sultan to Shymkent, Atyrau, Aktobe, Ust-Kamenogorsk and from Almaty to Kyzylorda.

Islam Sekerbekov, Sales Director of Air Astana, commented on this introduction: “ Due to numerous requests, we have got a premium economy class designed for people who prefers comfort and saving time. Premium economy class passengers will receive service and business class privileges at more affordable rates.
